Who is coming to the UK investment summit, and what will they discuss?
Guests at the all-day event include the head of the NHS, executives from Google, BlackRock, and Aviva, as well as Gareth Southgate.
The government will hold its first business summit on Monday, inviting hundreds of international companies to encourage investment in the UK to help its growth strategy.
The all-day event will take place at London’s Guildhall and will end with an evening reception at St Paul’s Cathedral, hosted by King Charles. The Prime Minister will have a discussion with Eric Schmidt, the former CEO of Google, moderated by Emma Walmsley, the CEO of the pharmaceutical company GSK.

Other discussion panels will feature the chief investment officer of Alphabet (Google’s parent company), the chair of BlackRock investment firm, and Amanda Blanc, the CEO of the insurance group Aviva.
Attendees will have the opportunity to talk with cabinet ministers and the first ministers from Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, as well as local mayors like London’s Sadiq Khan.
There will be a session discussing concerns about Labour’s plans for the NHS, titled “Unlocking the UK’s Health Data Assets to Deliver Innovation.” This session will feature Amanda Pritchard, the CEO of NHS England; Pushmeet Kohli, the head of research at Google’s DeepMind AI division; and David Ricks, the chair of the US pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly.
